Nice to have both myself and laundry clean and (temporarily) dry. Began to rain just before dark in BANDON and has continued raining 'til 1530 hours (3:30 pm) on this, VALENTINE DAY.
While the Laundromat clothes dryer was drying my freshly "hand" washed laundry, treated myself to Oatmeal Cereal with Raisins and Brown Sugar, two Eggs Scrambled , two slices buttered Toast w/ Jam, and Coffee...all for $7.50.

The next 4 hours were spent walking in such a down pour, the camera was again nearly not useable.
From BANDON, it is 27 miles to my destination, PORT ORFORD. I quit walking at the village of LANGLOID, some 14 miles from BANDON, because of the heavy rain.
Drove the rest of the way to PORT ORFORD, where I will stay overnight in RAY's FOODS Parking Lot.
Came uopon more Cranberry Bogs. The far right edge of the above pic clearly shows the manner of construction...with the "Berm" to hold the flooded waters in place .
This region is a bit inland from the Pacific Ocean Beaches. A number of water filled "Marshes" lead from nearby Coast Mountains to the Sea...resulting in US 101 undulating through a series of small hills...the road surface becoming 1 - 2 inch deep rivers...the valley waters flowing fully side to side across the valley floors.
This is also the land of Myrtle Wood factories and retail outlets...nearly every one of which is FOR SALE.
We are nearing the end of Oregon...the Redwoods coming up shortly...yes, Oregon has a number of shallow mountain valleys bristling with Redwood Trees.

Since skipping to walk some 14 miles today, will walk back North on US 101 for 3 - 4 hours in the morning...weather permitting. Will then walk South on US 101 for another couple hours before deciding to spend a second night in PORT ORFORD, or move the car to find a new over night spot.
At least, the new WATERPROOF Boots do seem to be WATERPROOF.
